How To Upload Product and Outdoor Industry News

You can communciate with thousands of climbers using UKClimbing.com's Outdoor Industry News area which is accessed by click on Gear on the top menu bar. Outdoor Industry News covers all aspects of the outdoor trade - from new gear to courses; from accommodation to holidays; from insurance to events. Each has its own category which allows users to compare a list of different products or services.

Outdoor Industry News - The dedicated Outdoor Industry News category is for press releases and other time-dependent annoucements like events and promotions. This category is also prominently featured on the main UKC News page.

If you are a Premier Advertiser (you have current Graphic Advertising) at UKClimbing.com, you can have unlimited access for your products and press releases.

Outdoor Industry News is usually exclusive to Premier Advertisers only although we are happy to consider running short items for Starter Advertisers who want to test the water for a new product or service in conjunction with a small advertising campaign. How do I upload Product and Outdoor Industry News?

You will need your password and email address - contact us to get these. Also have a JPEG image to accompany your item and around 150 words of text. You can cut and paste all this from your website.

Go to ads.ukclimbing.com and login.

Under "New Products and Gear - FREE" there is a link "Submit your News or Product" - click on this.

And you will get this page.

Fill in each category:

product name
category - choose one category that fits your product
brand - if your brand is not there then ignore this and we will sort it out for you later
product price - ignore if it is multiple products or a news item without a price
author name - your company
brief summary text - a couple of sentences will do
the product text - this can be lifted straight off your own web site

If you can use html tags, like bold, italics.

Don't worry if you mess up. We will check it and correct it so it looks great before it goes live.

You can upload up to four images using the 'Choose File' fields at the base of the form.

Then click Add Your Product.

It will be made live in a few days and viewable by the UKClimbing.com readership.

At the bottom of each Product News entry is a PAGE VIEW counter; be prepared for lots of views.
